Organic Ginkgo Powder
Ginkgo or the maidenhair tree Ginkgo biloba is a so-called ‘living fossil’, native to Asia and used in traditional Chinese medicine for 5,000 years. It is one of the oldest trees, having existed on Earth for over 300 million years and being unrelated to any other plant species. Indeed, the ginkgo was the first plant to grow in Hiroshima, the city destroyed by the atomic bomb during the Second World War.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the ginkgo is also known as the ‘tree of memory’, as extracts from its fan-shaped dried leaves have a positive effect on the brain and its blood supply.
Why is ginkgo so special and so different?
Ginkgo is truly unique – as there is no other plant species quite like it, researchers have devoted even more attention to it than they usually do to medicinal plants. They have found that it is exceptionally hardy and resistant to various pests, microorganisms and environmental toxins, so they set out to investigate the reasons for this. The most notable compounds in ginkgo extract are flavonoids and terpenes, which are responsible for its beneficial effects on the brain and memory.

Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep this food supplement out of the reach of children!

Usage and recommended daily intake
Mix the ginkgo powder into water, another drink, or add it to juice or a smoothie. Start with smaller doses, ideally a pinch, then gradually increase to a maximum of 1/2 teaspoon per day.
