Cistus creticus (Cretan rockrose) ORGANIC
Cistus creticus, or Cretan rockrose , is an aromatic, shrubby plant native primarily to the Mediterranean – particularly the Greek island of Crete, where it thrives in arid, rocky environments. The plant’s leaves are covered in sticky resins (labdanum), which are rich in polyphenols – natural antioxidants.
It is used as a tea. Cistus creticus is known as a natural herb to support the immune system.

Generally safe for use, even for long-term use. In rare cases, it may cause mild constipation or stomach irritation. Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor before use.

Usage and recommended daily intake
Cistus creticus tea is used as a natural support for the immune system, as it has powerful antiviral, antibacterial and antioxidant effects. It is often used for colds, flu, mouth infections and for general detoxification of the body.
The recommended daily intake is 2 to 3 cups a day (each prepared with 1–2 teaspoons of the herb and 250 ml of water). The tea should be drunk regularly for several days in a row, particularly at the onset of illness or as a preventative measure. In addition to drinking the tea, zistrose is also used for gargling and as compresses for skin problems.
Preparation of the tea:
- Pour 250 ml of boiling water over 1 to 2 teaspoons.
- Cover and leave to stand for 5–10 minutes.
- If desired, sweeten with honey (for a cold) or add lemon.
The herb can be reused and brewed 2 to 3 times. In traditional herbal practice, daily use over a longer period is common.
You can drink 2–3 cups a day to support your health.
