Organic matcha

The popular matcha is actually powdered green tea. Our version of matcha is primarily intended for cooking and, as such, is of high quality.

Matcha is the highest-quality tea with a strong character. The tea plants used for matcha are grown in the shade for at least a month before harvesting, and the veins and stems are removed from the tea leaves before processing. Tea leaves produced in this way are exceptionally rich in caffeine and theine. It has been known for many years that matcha is the tea of Buddhist monks, who drink it to aid concentration, focus and mental clarity.

It contains many compounds that have an antioxidant effect on our bodies. As is typical of green tea, it contains polyphenols and flavonoids. It is also rich in vitamins A, B, C and E. Due to the so-called catechins – of which matcha tea does not contain large amounts because of its special shade-grown cultivation – it is also not as bitter as is typical of some green teas. Furthermore, due to its high theine and caffeine content, matcha keeps us alert, yet does not cause the typical jitters often experienced by those who drink too much coffee.

Storage and warnings

Store in a dry, dark and cool place. Ensure the bag or box is tightly sealed. The product can also be stored in the fridge.

Packaging

An airtight zip-lock bag, which preserves the product’s freshness and aroma. The packaging protects against light and air, as it consists of several layers of protection that preserve the properties of the contents.

The packaging is very practical and can be recycled.
