Wheatgrass is actually young wheat plants. As such, it does not contain gluten, as this is found in the wheat ear – more specifically, in the wheat grain. The sprouted grass is usually harvested just over a week after sprouting and used to make juice. However, wheatgrass powder is much easier to use. It is suitable for detoxification and cleansing. It contains plenty of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, chlorophyll, fibre, protein and phytonutrients.
