Jiaogulan (Gynostemma)
Jiaogulan, also known as Gynostemma or Jiao Gu Lan, is a plant native to China, Burma, Northern Thailand, Korea and Japan. It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries due to its medicinal properties. It is also known as the “plant of immortality”, as it contains numerous active compounds important for a long life.
It helps our body to restore its own balance.
Jiaogulan is also an adaptogen. Adaptogenic plants help the body adapt to various negative environmental factors. They have the ability to regulate and control the endocrine and hormonal systems, the nervous and cardiovascular systems, and the muscles.

Usage and recommended daily intake
Standard dosage: start by taking 1/3 of a teaspoon, then up to 1 teaspoon once or twice a day. Jiaogulan Gynostemma can be taken every day, but the recommended daily intake should not be exceeded. Mix it into your favourite drink – water, juice, a smoothie, etc.
Preparing Jiaogulan Gynostemma as a tea:

- Water: 95 °C
- Amount of tea: 2–3 grams
- Amount of water: 150–200 ml
- Infusion time: 2–4 minutes
- Number of infusions: At least twice. Slightly extend the infusion time for each pour.
- Tea ware: Glass or porcelain.
