Organic Konjac Glucomannan Powder
Glucomannan has even been recognised by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) as a dietary supplement to aid weight loss. When used as part of an energy-restricted diet, it effectively contributes to weight loss.
Glucomannan works on several levels to aid weight loss. It is very low in calories. It is practically free from carbohydrates and fats. It provides us with fibre, which is very important for our digestive tract. This also helps maintain a healthy bacterial (probiotic) balance. If we take glucomannan before meals, we simply reduce our appetite and eat less. Furthermore, it slows down gastric emptying, so we quickly feel full.
The EFSA has also confirmed that glucomannan helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.
Glucomannan is completely natural and is extracted from the tuber of the konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac). It is gluten-free, dissolves easily in water and is an excellent source of fibre. Our glucomannan comes from organic farming.

Use for medicinal purposes
If you wish to lose weight, you should take 3 grams of glucomannan per day. Take 1 gram before each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Mix the powder quickly with water and drink it straight away.
If, however, you wish to lower your blood cholesterol, you should take 4 grams a day. In this case too, mix it well with water and drink it straight away.
Culinary uses
Glucomannan can also be used in cooking. It is an excellent substitute for any type of flour. It is used in the preparation of desserts, pastries, bread and other baked goods.
Furthermore, it can be used as a healthy thickener in various sauces, stews and other spoon-fed dishes. We recommend mixing it with a little water first and then adding it to the dish.
There are also recipes where it is used as a substitute for eggs, particularly those where eggs are used solely as a binding agent.
