Organic He Shou Wu powder

The Chinese wild bindweed, known as Polygonum multiflorum, has a root that resembles the shape of the human body. It has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries, as it is believed that the herb has a rejuvenating effect on the human body, slows down ageing and ensures a long life. The translation from Chinese is said to mean ‘Mr He with black hair’, who, after taking he shou wu, is said to have regained his thick, black hair, whilst his vitality was also restored.

It contains a unique combination of active ingredients for a variety of ailments, including health issues.

The he shou wu root is sometimes used unprocessed for medicinal purposes; this is known as fo-ti. However, the efficacy of the he shou wu root is actually enhanced when it is boiled in a special liquid made from black beans. This so-called red fo-ti is dried and ground into a powder, which the body can digest more easily and from which it can absorb all the active ingredients.

Our he shou wu is prepared as red fo-ti, so it does not require heat treatment.
