Pleurotus ostreatus (Oyster Mushroom) Organic powder
Pleurotus ostreatus (Oyster Mushroom) is a well-researched medicinal mushroom. It is also known as the beech oyster mushroom and is an edible mushroom that also grows here. In fact, alongside Ganoderma lucidum and Cordyceps , it ranks among the six best-known medicinal mushrooms in this country.
Numerous nutrients can be extracted from the fruiting bodies and mycelium. Research has also demonstrated antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as antifungal activity against several species of fungi.
As they are a rich source of antioxidants and other active compounds, their potential for anti-tumour, immunomodulatory, genoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antiplasmodial, hypocholesterolaemic, antihypertensive and antihyperglycaemic effects is more than assured. Recent research has shown that the beech oyster mushroom has a bifidogenic effect, meaning that it can promote the growth of Bifidobacterium bifidum, B. breve, B. animalis and B. longum. It is therefore also a prebiotic, which improves the gut microbiota for the benefit of the host’s health – that of humans. A healthy balance of microorganisms in the gut contributes to better and more efficient absorption of nutrients from the food we consume, as well as to energy regulation. These play an important role in the health of the digestive system and also influence the immune system – the most complex part of the immune system is found in the gut, which is why we often hear that gut health is so important in ensuring a good immune response and, consequently, overall health.
This medicinal mushroom is frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat a wide range of ailments.
The cultivation of our Pleurotus ostreatus is strictly monitored, without the use of chemicals or pesticides, and is 100% organic.
What does it contain and who is it intended for?
Pleurotus ostreatus (Oyster Mushroom) consists of a variety of nutrients, such as polysaccharides, proteins, flavonoids, phenols, beta-glucans and others. The active polysaccharides and phenols are biologically valuable compounds. The oyster mushroom, which usually grows on beech wood, is also a rich source of vitamins B, C and D, mineral salts, antioxidants and selenium.
Due to lovastatin, which is the key active ingredient for inhibiting the synthesis of endogenous cholesterol, it has a beneficial effect on regulating total cholesterol levels in the blood.
The beech oyster mushroom contains little fat (mostly unsaturated fatty acids) and vitamin D2; it is rich in dietary fibre and is a good source of protein and essential amino acids.
All the nutrients in the mushroom are present in large quantities and have a very positive effect on our bodies.
And what is extremely important here is that Pleurotus ostreatus is a 100% natural product that can help us in a natural way. It alleviates the symptoms of our ailments and has a positive effect on our general well-being.
Why mushrooms, of all things?
Mushrooms are fascinating. They are neither plants nor animals; what they are, however, are certainly incredible organisms that have managed to survive practically since the beginning of the world. They have developed a unique survival strategy that has sustained them to this day. We humans can also benefit from their unique properties by incorporating them into our diet. They bring balance to our bodies, contribute to our general well-being and protect us from numerous health issues.
As certain natural active compounds are indigestible or difficult for us to digest, it is very important that we consume only the very best powdered mushrooms. The mushrooms must be properly cultivated, dried and prepared. They must be ground into a fine powder without any lumps. The colour of the powder is lighter, though this also depends on the type of mushroom we are taking. As mushrooms are so effective precisely because they have the ability to absorb everything – both good and bad – from the environment, it is important to choose organically grown ones.

Usage
Mix the mushroom into a liquid, such as water, tea, coffee, cocoa, yoghurt, juice, a smoothie, etc. Stir well and drink in small sips as soon as possible. Consume during a meal or at least half an hour after eating.
It is advisable to take the gobo or mixture continuously for at least three to four weeks and not to stop taking it as soon as you notice an improvement. Repeat the course twice a year, preferably in autumn and spring. We recommend long-term use only for chronic conditions. Even then, we recommend regular breaks of a few days, which should be as long as possible once improvement is seen.
We recommend taking medicinal mushrooms alongside vitamin C.
Recommended daily intake
The recommended intake is 1–2 teaspoons per day. 1 teaspoon contains approximately 2–3 grams of the mushroom blend. We recommend taking half the amount for a few days when you first start, and gradually increasing to the recommended amount. If possible, take half the dose in the morning and half in the evening.
