Organic Camu Camu Powder
In the Amazon rainforest, camu camu fruits grow on the camu camu shrub (Myrciaria dubia); they resemble reddish-purple cherries in appearance and have a tart flavour.

Our camu camu is a premium variety and contains as much as 7% vitamin C. As our bodies do not store vitamin C, it is essential to consume fruit and vegetables rich in this vitamin on a daily basis. It is used as a dietary supplement containing vitamins and minerals. It is most commonly used during the season for viral illnesses, as vitamin C has been shown to alleviate and help speed up recovery from viral illnesses such as the flu and the common cold. To maintain a strong immune system, it makes sense to take vitamin C as a preventative measure. Eating foods rich in vitamin C is therefore crucial. With camu camu powder, you can get your daily intake of vitamin C from as little as a quarter of a teaspoon.
Camu camu has a sour and slightly bitter taste, but is extremely rich in vitamin C. The easiest way to consume it is by mixing it into freshly squeezed juices or smoothies. It can also be used to make salad dressings for fruit or vegetable salads.
Recommended daily intake
Just a quarter of a teaspoon is enough to meet your daily vitamin C requirements. However, as individual requirements for this vitamin may vary (smokers need higher amounts, as do pregnant women, physically active people and athletes), we recommend consuming up to 1 teaspoon per day.
